Mochos is a colourful Cretan
village on the way to Lasithi Plateau, just 9 km from the beach of Stalis and 40km from Heraklion city and international
airport. The village is famous for its big central square and the church of Virgin Mary, where the annual celebration of Virgin
Mary takes place every summer on 14th and 15th of August, with traditional music, folk dancers, great food and numerous
visitors from all over the world.
The
property is built on a plot of 220 square meters. The main house is on the first floor, has
been rennovated in 1997 in a traditional style and consists of a living room with fire place, a kitchen, one bedroom,
a room which can be used either as second bedroom or as utility room, one bathroom and one wc. Under the main house,
on
the ground floor there is a huge 103 sq.m. cellar with stone floor, which was used in the old days to store wine and

owned by the mayor of Mochos, who gifted it in the 80ies to Olof Palme, Prime Minister of Sweden. After Palme's death,
the house has been used as a museum. This house has been re-enforced with concrete in 2007. There is a small yard of 35 sq.m. which can be used as parking
space for two cars.
